Dear Ashley,
How poignant! Suddenly the physicality of a passing world came to life for me: the tactile element in handling slides, slide binding, mount cleaning, label affixing, and organizing slide boxes; the smell of film cleaner and dust; the sounds of slides being clunked into a carousel, the clicking through the projector; the burden of unfinished business (slides not catalogued, labels popped), and the nostalgia, being reminded of the passing of individuals through our lives, as boxes were reused and relabelled…
Thanks!
